Rehydration Infusions
Hydration infusion involves the insertion of an IV line into your arm vein to administer minerals and other nutrients dissolved in a crystalloid solution.
This primarily include sodium chloride, magnesium, potassium , calcium, and sodium lactate (Sodium lactate is a bioenergetic fuel that the human body is designed to metabolise under ischemic conditions, thus decreasing cellular death from ischemia). Dextrose and a pure isotonic solution may also be employed
The exact volume and combination of fluids will depend on the recipient’s health status, e.g. age, medical history, current medical condition, and the severity of any dehydration.
